Value-Added of Industry Expanded in April


In April, value-added of the industrial enterprises above designated size (all state-owned enterprises and non-state-owned enterprises with an annual income over 5 million yuan) expanded 15.7 percent, year-on-year, while that 2.1 and 1.7 percentage points dropped over previous month, and last April. The growth rate remains the general level over March, and same period of last year, after deducted the incomparable factors.

In terms of main sectors, the growth rate of textile industry increased 12.2 percent, that of raw chemical materials and chemical products, non-metal mineral products industry, smelting and pressing of ferrous metals industry expanded 15.0, 21.5 and 14.5 percent respectively; that of general equipment manufacturing industry, transportation equipment manufacturing industry, and electric machinery and equipment manufacturing industry jumped by 21.4, 22.5 and 21.3 percent respectively; that of telecommunication, computer and other electric facilities manufacturing industry increased 19.0 percent, and that of production and supply of electric power and heat power expanded 12.3 percent.

In terms of main products, the coal, crude oil and electricity reached 210, 15.41 million tons and 281.4 billion kilowatt-hours, up by 13.9, 0.5 and 12.8 percent respectively, year-on-year; that of pig iron, crude steel and rolled steel achieved 41.27, 44.68 and 51.61 million tons, rose by 9.1, 10.2 and 11.7 percent respectively; that of cement was 120 million tons, up by 10.8 percent; that of vehicles was 1.00 million sets, up by 22.2 percent, of which, automobiles was 0.52 million sets, jumped by 26.3 percent.

The sales ratio of industrial products was 97.8 percent, down 0.5 percentage points with the same period of last year. The export delivery value of industrial enterprises reached 659.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.6 percent.

From January to April, value-added of industry expanded 16.3 percent, year-on-year.
