Guangzhou Customs Intercepted and Captured Smuggled Gen-seng over 1 Ton

In the wee hours of August 3, Sub-Bureau of Anti-Smuggling of Panyu Customs House, subordinated to Guangzhou Customs, surrounded the high speed yacht (the common name is Middle Air ) carrying smuggled goods and the trucks receiving them at the Pearl River estuary and successfully detained two trucks receiving the smuggled goods and seized two suspects on the bank. In this case, 1,252.4 kilograms of Gen-seng were intercepted and captured, and the valve involved was about RMB 2,000,000. This was a congeneric case of the one that Guangzhou Customs had solved on July 28, in which 144.5 kilograms of Gen-seng had been intercepted and captured. It is learned that Guangzhou Customs has aimed at the situation of frequent smuggling by Middle Air at the Pearl River estuary to take effective actions to enhance anti-smuggling. In this year, Guangzhou Customs has solved 7 cases of Middle Air smuggling, the total value involved in which was about RMB 18,000,000.
