On 7 August, officers of Beijing International Customs House opened the Green Channel dedicated for the Olympic Games and granted speedy clearance services to 496 pieces of foreign newspapers imported by the China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Corporation. The newspapers, which include Times, Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph and etc. would be distributed to the seven Newspaper stands in the Olympic Village and some contracting hotels for foreign athletes and participants.
