A new-type wireless automatic target-marking system is under a test on a comprehensive training ground of a department under the GSH of the PLA in the suburbs of Beijing.
It is learned that a wireless automatic target-marking system developed in two years by the training ground of a department under the General Staff Headquarters (GSH) of the Chinese People s Liberation Army (PLA) has passed the appraisal of the expert group. According to the live-fire test, the system features a stable performance, high durability of gun-target and fast and accurate information collection, improving the efficiency of shooting training.
Currently, most of the PLA live-fire shooting ranges still manually display, examine and mark targets. It is really time-consuming, energy-exhausting and inefficient. In 2009, the training ground established a research and development task team. From then on, the team has overcome 12 key technical difficulties and developed a new-type wireless automatic target-marking system which is accurate in target-marking, high in automaticity and low in cost.
