Liang Guanglie, state councilor and defense minister of the People s Republic of China (PRC), met with Adilbek Dzhaksybekov, defense minister of Kazakhstan who is accompanying his President Nursultan Nazarbayev on a visit to China, at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on February 21.
Liang Guanglie pointed out that Kazakhstan is China's friendly neighbor and strategic partner. In recent years, the high-level contacts between the two countries are close, the political mutual trust keeps deepening, the pragmatic cooperation in various fields is increasingly expanding, the Sino-Kazakh strategic partnership keeps developing. The two countries communicate and collaborate closely within such multilateral frameworks as the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, making positive contributions to maintaining regional stability and promoting common development.
Liang Guanglie said that the current friendly cooperation between the two militaries presents a good development momentum. The Chinese side is willing to work together with the Kazakhstan side to continuously tap the cooperation potential of the two sides and expand the cooperation fields, in a bid to achieve a better development of the relations between the two militaries under the new situation.
Dzhaksybekov said that the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China has made great progress in recent years as the result of the sincere efforts made by both sides. Kazakhstan is willing to work together with China to continue to expand the cooperation fields of the two militaries and promote the relations of the two militaries to mount a new step.
