Days ago, a new generation of protective mask for both military and civilian purposes developed by the Chemical Defense Research Institute under the General Armaments Department of the Chinese People s Liberation Army (PLA) passed a series of tests held in the frigid area and the results of the tests showed all the technical performances of the mask were excellent with breakthroughs in several key technologies.
PLA s protective mask facilities witnessed development and application of multiple types, varieties and batches. With the expansion of diversified military tasks in the new period, to develop a new generation of military-civilian integrated protective mask was put on the agenda.
Protective masks designed by the traditional standards are confronted with problems of a heavy resistance of suction as well as frosting and fogging on eyeglass in environment of high temperature, high humidity and chilliness.
To solve these problems, the researchers tackled some key technological problems and scored a series of innovative achievements with independent intellectual property rights, for instance, the application of new high-efficiency and low-resistance filtering technology and new seeping activated carbon technology significantly reduced the resistance of suction.
The new brightness-guarantee structure and coating technology for eyeglass have not only solved the problem of frosting and fogging on the lens in the environment of high temperature, high humidity and chilliness, but also effectively improved the visibility.
