April 28-Yu Kangzhen, State Chief Veterinary Officer met the CEO of Singapore s Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA), Tan Poh Hong. The two sides exchanged opinions on issues concerning specific animal disease-free zone.
Yu Kangzhen introduced the construction of specific animal disease-free zone in China, stating the readiness to provide continuous support for the construction of such zone in the Singapore Food Park of Jilin Province, China.
Ms. Tan agreed with Yu s opinions, and stated the commitment to fostering China-Singapore cooperation in veterinary service and agriculture.
Lu Xiaoping, Deputy Director-General of MOA Department of International Cooperation, as well as relevant officials from Jilin Province were present at the meeting.
