Sinopec Wuhan Petrochemical plans to refine 435,000mt of crude in January 2011, basically flat on month, a refinery source told C1.
The refinery's crude consumption target for the whole year of 2011 was 5-mil mt, added the source.
It is scheduled to shut a 400,000-mt/yr hydrogen unit for 20-day maintenance from Mar 10, as a result of which its crude throughput would drop to 320,000mt in March, the source said.
Wuhan Petrochemical, located in Wuhan City of Central China's Hubei Province, is one of the major Sinopec refineries alongside the Yangtze River. It is equipped with a 3.5-mil-mt/yr crude distillate unit and a 5-mil-mt/yr CDU, but the former was temporarily idled due to insufficient ethylene production capacity.
