Reliance Infrastructure Limited has entered into an agreement with OSRAM, leading lamp manufacturers in the country to launch energy efficient T5 tube light fittings with high efficiency electronic ballast that consume 40% less electricity.

Currently most customers use legacy Tube fittings T12/T8 which guzzle more energy

The initiative named 'Save Energy launched in Mumbai facilitates consumers to apply for a shift to OSRAM's globally acclaimed T5 tube lights.

The empanelled retailers will then send electrician to the applicant consumers' house and replace the T5 tubes.

The electrician will carry the old fittings to OSRAM's warehouse where these will be destroyed in environment-friendly manner.

The RInfra's initiative has come up in line with the approval from the MERC for the areas Mira Road (East) and Bhayander (East).

RInfra has tied-up with OSRAM who in turn will offer 33% discount on market price of the products.

Further, RInfra will be offering one-time rebate to of Rs 200 to its customers over and above OSRAM's discounted pricing structure.
