An industry source based in the Middle East informed a polymerupdate team member that a PP plant operated by Oman Polypropylene is likely to be restarted.

The source said, "located at Sohar, the plant has a production capacity of 340,000 mt/year. Operations at the plant are likely to be restarted in the fourth week of December. The plant has been under a shutdown since early November. The shutdown of the Oman PP plant has been attributed to an unplanned shutdown at the Sohar refinery."

The source added, "propylene feedstock for the Oman PP plant is sourced from the Sohar refinery."
