Asia: Propylene plant likely to be taken offstream by CPC

A Taiwanese industry source informed a polymerupdate team member that China Petrochemical Corp (CPC), Taiwan is likely to shutdown a propylene plant for a maintenance turnaround .
The source said, "the plant is likely to be taken offstream for a maintenance turnaround in mid May 2011. The shutdown is expected to remain in force for around one month. At present, the plant is running at full rates."
The source added, "the plant has a propylene production capacity of 450,000 mt/year and is located at Kaohsiung, Taiwan."
