China: SPEX expected to start spot LPG trading in Dec

Shanghai Petroleum Exchange is expected to start trading business of spot LPG and liquefied natural gas from December, an source with the bourse told .
LPG trading amount would be limited at the earlier stage, because Sinopec, PetroChina, CNOOC and most importers showed little interest to participate, according to an informed source. Shanghai Golden was hesitating at the moment, the sources said.
The exchange would more likely to just launch trading of spot LNG by then, which would be from Nanhui terminal in Shanghai, with annual supply not more than 50,000mt, said a source with Shenergy .
Shanghai Petroleum Exchange is co-invested by Shanghai Jiulian Group, Chinaoil, Sinopec Marketing, CNOOC Investment and Sinochem International Oil.
