China's inventories of gasoline, gasoil and kerosene amounted to 13.98-mil mt at the end of October, down 5.16% from a month ago, according to the data released by the China National Petroleum Corporation.

Gasoil stockpiles declined 10.7% to 6.25-mil mt, kerosene inventory dropped 6.5% to 1.43-mil mt, while gasoline stocks increased 1.5% to 6.30-mil mt, the data shows.

Gasoil stockpiles went down amid brisk demand from agriculture and fishery in October. In addition, gasoil demand was spurred by climbing international crude and restricted power supply, and gasoil supply was short in the month.

The consumption of kerosene also grew, as more kerosene was required to blend gasoil with minus pour points amid falling temperature in northern China.
By contrast, gasoline inventories gained as demand slackened.
