LPG arbitrage window between Huludao City in Liaoning Province and N. China opened from Nov 8, a survey showed.
LPG wholesale prices were Yuan 5,750-5,820/mt in Liaoning on Nov 8, versus Yuan 5,970-6,200/mt in North China, a assessment indicated. Freight rates between the two areas were Yuan 250-300/mt at present.
Jinxi Petrochemical in Huludao cut LPG ex-refinery price to a rational level after it resumed normal operation and doubled LPG daily output to nearly 1,000mt last week, market sources said.
"Jinxi Petrochemical sold much more LPG to North China by truck from Monday," said a local distributor.
LPG demand is only about 100mt per day in Huludao.
Arbitrage LPG flow was seen from North China to Liaoning market in September and October. Jinxi Petrochemical halted residential-consuming LPG supply on maintenance of gas fractionation from August. It resumed the supply end September, with merely 500mt available each day because of unit malfunctions.
Without signing any term supply contracts with Panjin Heyun Industrial Group, Jinxi Petrochemical would supply most of its superfluous resources to North China market.
