Fujian Refining & Petchem hikes daily LPG supply by 50% to 900mt

Fujian Refining & Petrochemical hiked its daily commodity LPG output to 900mt from Oct 28, sharply up 50% or 300mt, a refinery source said.


As LPG wholesale prices climbed notably in October, the refinery decided to consume more naphtha and less LPG to produce ethylene, the source explained.
LPG truck prices in Fujian market averaged Yuan 6,075/mt on Oct 27, surging Yuan 540/mt from Sep 30, a assessment showed.


LPG demand from household users during the second half of October grew 10% from the first half month, according to a local distributor.


Fujian Refining & Petrochemical, located in southeastern China's Fujian Province, has an annual topping capacity of 12-mil mt and mainly processes imported crude.
