Americas: Kinder limits November Trans Mountain crude nominations at 32%

p>Kinder Morgan Canada Wednesday said it will limit overall November crude oil nominations on the Canada-to-US Trans Mountain pipeline at 32%.


For October, Kinder Morgan limited overall crude nominations at 39%.


Trans Mountain's planned November throughput was estimated at 316,412 b/d, up 15,858 b/d from October, Kinder said in a notice to shippers.


Spot nominations at the Westridge Dock in Burnaby, British Columbia, will be limited at 4% of the nominated volume. September nominations were capped at 6%.


Exports from the Westridge Dock were put at 49,878 b/d, down 13,752 b/d from October. Two barges and four tankers are scheduled to load from Westridge in October. The two 8,000-barrel barges are believed to be bound for Astra Oil's 39,000 b/d refinery in Tacoma, Washington.


Of the four tankers, three are 350,000-barrel Panamax tankers and one is a 525,000-barrel Aframax tanker, Canadian market sources said. All exports are heavy sour crudes.


Shipments to Washington state refiners in October are estimated at 163,170 b/d, up 547 b/d from September.


The Trans Mountain pipeline, which has a capacity of 300,000 b/d, ships crude from Edmonton, Alberta, to Vancouver, British Columbia, where it can be loaded for export. Additionally, the pipeline carries crude from British Columbia to refineries in the Puget Sound area of Washington State.
