China: Sinopec Guangzhou Petchem defers turnaround plan by two months to Feb'11

Sinopec Guangzhou Petrochemical put off maintenance plan for some units from early December 2010 to February 2011 in a bid to ensure product supplies at the end of this year, according to a refinery source.
The month-long turnaround would involve in 5.2-mil-mt/yr crude distillate unit, 1.5-mil-mt/yr fluid catalytic cracker, 1.8-mil-mt/yr hydro-refining unit and 1-mil-mt/yr delayed coker, the source revealed.
Guangzhou Petrochemical, located in Guangzhou City in South China's Guangdong Province, has a topping capacity of 15.7-mil mt per year. It refines only foreign crude, most of which is from the Middle East. It is capable of producing 220,000mt of ethylene annually.
