p>INEOS Technologies has licensed its Innovene S process for the manufacture of high-density polyethelene (HDPE) and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) to Rosneft's 345,000 mt/year Angarsk polymer plant in Russia's East Siberian town of Angarsk, Ineos said in a statement Monday.
InnoveneTM S slurry technology is used in the production of mono and bi-modal HDPE. This is the first time that INEOS has licensed this process in Russia.
The plant supplies specialty and commodity polyethelene products to the Russian and Chinese markets.
"This award by Rosneft recognizes the value that our technology offers our licensees and their customers with outstanding process economics, operation robustness and product quality," CEO of Ineos Technologies, Peter Williams, said in the statement.
Ineos Technologies said it has begun the engineering phase of the project.
