China: PetroChina Fushun Petchem to halt LPG supply early Oct on maintenance

Write: Sinjon [2011-05-20]
p>PetroChina Fushun Petrochemical arranged to shut down a 1.5-mil-mt/yr residue fluid catalytic cracker and a gas separating unit for maintenance on Oct 5, expected to last 50 and 30 days, respectively, a refinery source revealed, adding the refinery would have no LPG to supply during the period.

The maintenance would exert little impact on local LPG market as LPG commodity supply from Fushun Petrochemical was not much, according to local distributors.
Fushun Petrochemical normally offers 250mt of LPG commodity per day, most of which are supplied to local contracted customers via pipeline.

Fushun Petrochemical is one of the major refineries in Northeast China with an annual crude throughput capacity of 19-mil mt and ethylene production capacity of 180,000mt. It mainly refines domestic crude from Daqing Oilfield and Liaohe Oilfield. It is unlikely to receive crude through the Sino-Russia Crude Pipeline in the future for it is more suitable to refine high-sulfur crude.
