With fluid catalytic cracker back into operation, the refinery produced about 200mt of LPG commodity on Sep 26, the source said, adding the output would be increased to 300-340mt a day after it restarts gas fractionation unit and MTBE unit in the near future.
Yumen Refining & Chemical pegged LPG truck price at Yuan 4,550/mt and barge price at Yuan 4,220/mt on Sep 26.
Yumen Refining & Chemical, located in Northwest China's Gansu Province, usually supplies about 250mt of LPG per day. It mainly provides LPG to Southwest China.
PetroChina Qingyang Petrochemical, which is also in Gansu, is expected to start LPG supply in the coming two days, with 3-mil-mt/yr crude refining project put into trial production, as reported earlier.
LPG commodity output in Gansu reached 1,150mt on Sep 26, roaring from about 300mt daily early September, some data showed.
LPG wholesale prices in Gansu market are more likely decline in the near term due to increasing supply and approaching National Day holiday (Oct 1-7), market sources predicted.
