Processing margins of calcined petcoke of all grades dropped across the board this week.
Green petcoke prices inched up in Shandong and North China, bringing up feedstock costs for mid-sulfur calcined petcoke. Moreover, pressured by sluggish sales, processing margin of mid-sulfur grade dived by Yuan 111/mt on week. As for low-sulfur grade, market demand remained dull, and feedstock costs went high as some Northeast China-based large refineries hiked petcoke prices, thus process margin of low-sulfur grade also fell by Yuan 61/mt. That of high-sulfur grade decreased Yuan 62/mt after high-sulfur green petcoke prices increased in East China.
