p>The CFR prices of LPG for September delivery to Asia may stay high, said a Singapore-based trader.

The trader attributed the likely high prices to relatively stable availability and increasing demand from Asian countries ahead of winter.

Mideast is forecast to export 308,000mt of spot LPG in August, slightly up 0.98% on month. The region might maintain stable exports in September, according to a local supplier.

A Japanese trader revealed 1-mil mt of LPG had been fixed to be bound for Japan in September so far, versus about 900,000mt in August.

On Tuesday, CFR prices of September-delivery propane and butane were US$641-646/mt and US$655-660/mt, respectively, a assessment showed. However, when the trade of September-delivery-cargo began on Aug 11, the prices were only US$638-643/mt for propane and US$653-658/mt for butane.
