UK within day gas traded last at 41.90 pence a therm by 1030 London time, down 0.40 p/th on the day, while gas for next day delivery was 0.70 p/th lower at 41.60 p/th.
National Grid data showed the system was 6 million cubic meters short on gas Wednesday, compared with 9 million cu m/d Tuesday, with supplies at 231 million cu m/d and demand at 237 million cu m/d.
