A large volume of fuel oil from South American reached Asia and was supplied to East Asia after being reloaded in Singapore and Malaysia, according to market sources.
Meanwhile, China's fuel oil imports from Russia plunged 75%, as independent refineries ran at low rates and showed weak demand for straight-run resources amid expectation of lower oil product retail ceilings, also due to high fuel oil stockpiles in coastal areas.
Venezuela came in the second place with 358,088mt, followed by South Korea and Singapore, providing 246,933mt and 245,246mt of fuel oil to China, the data says.
