Yatong Petrochemical in Shandong Province's Dongying City brought an 800,000-mt-yr residue fluid catalytic cracker (RFCC) on stream on Aug 16, according to a source with the refinery.
The refinery is expected to start slurry production in the coming few days, the source said.
Yatong Petrochemical is building a 1.8-mil-mt-yr crude distillate unit (CDU), likely to put it on line in the end of 2010, he added.
In addition to the RFCC, Yatong Petrochemical has a 300,000-mt/yr CDU, a 150,000-mt/yr hydrorefining unit, a 200,000-mt/yr gas fractionation unit etc.
