Iran's official news agency says an explosion at a petrochemical factory in southern Iran has killed five and injured two.
Firemen brought the blaze under control and the cause of the fire is now being investigated, said Wednesday's report.
The factory is located in Assalouyeh port town, some 750 miles (1,200 kilometers) south of Tehran, on the Iranian shore of the Persian Gulf.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad inaugurated an expansion phase at Pardis factory last week.
Last month, an explosion at a petrochemical factory on Iran's largest oil terminal on Kharg island killed four people.
Iran produces around 50 million tons of petrochemical products per year.
