VIENNA, July 12 (Xinhua) -- The weekly average prices of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) continued to decline last week, falling to 70.63 U.S. dollars per barrel, the Vienna-based cartel said Monday.
OPEC oil price kept rising for last 5 consecutive trading days, up from 69.09 dollars a barrel last Monday to 72.79 dollars last Friday, representing an average increase of 0.75 dollars per day.
However, due to the low base price at the beginning of last week, its overall price level last week stayed lower.
