The New Product Promotion and User Experience Day of XCMG was launched on September 16th in Victoria, the east port city of Brazil, thanks to nearly half-a-year preparations of the import-export company and the active cooperation of local dealers. It was the biggest one of its kind in terms of scale and variety of products that XCMG held for the first time in its key oversea market or a single country. The activity lasted 5 days, during which a news conference on XCMG Strategy of Development in Brazil was given and the XCMG Product Quality Tour in Brazil initiated.
The New Product Promotion was held in a 5-star hotel in Victoria, at which more than 100 XCMG distributors and key accounts from all over Brazil were present. It started with a propaganda film of XCMG "Long Voyage", and then proceeded with the introductions made by business personnel of XCMG Import-export Company and by the Brazilian XCMG distributors. The new products presented at the Promotion mainly included all-terrain crane, large-tonnage crawler crane, excavator, backhoe loader, fork loader and truck mounted crane. The distributor dealing in earth-moving machinery products made an introduction to XT870 backhoe loader, XT860-170 telescopic fork loader, and XE210 crawler excavator, which were all newly exported to Brazilian market. The crane distributor made an introduction to such new products as QY25K5-1, QY70K-1, QY90K and QY110K as well as QAY240, QUY150 and QUY260 that made their debut in Brazilian market. On the promotion there was an active interaction between business personnel and distributor and key accounts, who communicated with each other on the performance of such new products. Customers showed great interest to XCMG products for they were diversified in variety and complete in set, and they admired XCMG for its strength.
On the afternoon of that day, distributors and key accounts came over to an open area outside the bonded zone of Victoria, which was the site of the XCMG Experience Day for Brazilian Users. At the entrance to the site the banner of "The First XCMG Experience Day for Brazilian Users" was strikingly flying. The five all-terrain cranes and truck cranes were arranged one by one on the left side of the central road of the site, three stretching all their arms upwards and two hoisting their main jibs up in an imposing phalanx. The cabs of QAY240, QY110K and QY90K were different from normal ones, for they were so fixed as to command the jib nose, allowing the cranes a convenient observation of the hoisting process. On the right side QUY 260 crawler crane stood in great state, and the name label on it revealed that it had been delivered to the client. At the end of the road there was a tent with an area of about 200 m2, which was set up to offer a temporary place for tea break. To its right side were two XS120 vibratory rollers, XE210 excavator and ZL30 loader, all extending their arms as if greeting friends from all over Brazil.
Guests present at the site were overpowered by such a stately array of XCMG products as to stick up their thumbs in admiration, and even some of them could not wait to sit into the cab for a personal experience. They generously praised XCMG products for their appearance and excellent performance, and expressed their strong purchase inclination.
They were excitedly engaged in conversations and communication by twos and threes. And distributors and business personnel of XCMG were fully occupied with the reception of Brazilian friends. They were invited by technicians to experience new XCMG products, which afforded them much enjoyment. Seeing and experiencing the new XCMG products, distributors and key accounts took much pride in working with XCMG.
The first day of experience ended at 6 p.m.. And all guests present and 8 after-sale service personnel took a group photo in front of the cranes.
Xiang Xiong, counselor of Chinese embassy to Brazil, together with the Brazil-based representative of China Development Bank, the representative of Brazil Branch, Bank of China, and the Brazil-based representative of China Railway Construction Group, was present at the promotion and experience activity, and backed XCMG up in its serial promotional activities in Brazil. Several Brazilian media, including Brazilian Crane Magazine, attended the whole activity and made a comprehensive coverage.
A preliminary statistic after the activity showed that the purchase inclination for earthmoving machinery alone amounted to more than 150 units, valued at over 10 million US dollars. The success of this promotion and experience activity enhanced the confidence of distributors and key accounts in the brand of XCMG, and was a significant impetus for XCMG to foster a new growth point and maintain its momentum in its export to Brazil.
