CSR Sings A Strategic Alliance Agreement with Anhui Provincial Government

On the afternoon of January 14, Zhao Xiaogang, board chairman of CSR signed the Strategic Alliance Agreement Between the People s Government of AnhuiProvince and CSR with Huang Haisong, vice governor of AnhuiProvince at the Daoxianglou Hotel in Hefei.

According to the Strategic Alliance Agreement, both parties will fully cooperate to facilitate the construction of Anhui s urban rail-transit and set up a system of top-level leadership regular meeting system and strategic alliance coordination. CSR is planning to develop rail-transit equipment and correlated industries in Anhui, expand and strengthen critical parts business, and cultivate Tongling branch of CSR Yangtze Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. to be a leading manufacturing base that focuses on rail-transit equipment and parts and covers the market in east China and middle China during the period of the 12th Five-Year Plan .

Wang Sanyun, Deputy Secretary of Anhui Provincial Committee of CPC and Governor of Anhui Province attended the signing ceremony and had a conversation with Zhao Xiaogang. Wang Sanyun said that AnhuiProvince is stepping into a new well-prepared and fast-growing stage with an annual total output over trillion yuan; and for the moment, Anhui is focusing on building up two strategic platforms, i.e. the Demonstration Area of Carrying on Industry Transfer in the Wanjiang River City Belt and the Hefei-Wuhu-Bengbu Independent Innovation Comprehensive Experimental Area. The development of urban rail-transit is promising; Anhui wants to cooperate with CSR further to realize mutual advantage complementation and mutual benefits. Anhui Government would abide by commitment and provide excellent services.

Wang Xiaogang made a speech on the signing ceremony and conversation. He stated that CSR is the leader of China s rail-transit equipment manufacturing industry and also the biggest domestic urban rail vehicle manufacturer with good technical, R&D, marketing and services strength and competitive power. CSR holds a positive attitude towards the developing impetus and potential of Anhui; furthermore, CSR would fulfill the obligations of the Strategic Alliance Agreement thoroughly, fasten CSR''''s development in Anhui with respect to rail-transit equipment and correlated industries by making use of CSR''''s edges in research, manufacturing and repair of urban railway, actively take part in Anhui s urban railway project and try to supply good-quality urban railway rolling stocks and after-sale services. Grounded on these, CSR would further explore new ways and methods of cooperation and search for more cut-in points of cooperation. CSR believes that the cooperation between CSR and Anhui Government will embrace a bright future though both parties efforts.
