The Central Academy of Shanghai Electric was established

The Center Research Institute of SHANGHAI ELECTRIC was established and celebrated in October 8. The Institute, formed on the base of the former SHANGHAI ELECTRIC Research Center, will be supported by Shanghai Mechanical & Electrical Research Institute, Shanghai Electric Automation Research Institute and Shanghai Capital Numerical Control Co. Ltd., and supplemented by the National or municipal research institutes, which belong to the enterprises of SHANGHAI ELECTRIC.

A technology committee was also announced to be set up during the ceremony. The establishment of the Center Research Institute, as an important act of SHANGHAI ELECTRIC, symbols that SHANGHAI ELECTRIC will increase its economic benefit and flourish its enterprises by means of science and technology.
