Shanghai Electric hold a high-tech forum with China Academy of Science

A proseminar, concerning about high technology and industry development, was held in September 8 by SHANGHAI ELECTRIC and CAS Shanghai Branch for the purpose of deepening an all around cooperation between the two parts, and realizing the industrialization of the research-institute-developed technology.

About 70 scientists, enterprisers and decision makers, from CAS s 16 Research Institute in Beijing, Shenyang, Guangzhou and Shanghai, and from 10 enterprises of SHANGHAI ELECTRIC, took part in this seminar. Leaders form High-tech Bureau of CAS and Shanghai Development and Reform Committee, etc. also presented the seminar.

In April 2001, SHANGHAI ELECTRIC signed the first group of projects with CAS. Since October 2002 to the end of last year, SHANGHAI ELECTRIC fulfilled the Shanghai Electricond group of High-Tech and Industrialization projects with CAS and made a great achievement in the fields of power station, transportation, environment protection, industrial automation and microelectronics, etc.

In February 25, 2004, SHANGHAI ELECTRIC signed the third group of the cooperation projects totally 16 items with CAS. Based on the principle of Hi-Tech and industrialization , the two parts have developed a close cooperation and achieved a tremendous harvest in the field of applying the key technology to the power station equipments, new materials to the core industries, and integrated technology to industrial automation.

14 of the projects have been accepted through the inspection. By using these practical technologies, which supplied by CAS, enterprises have realized the target of industrialization.
