SEC first Heavy Gas Turbine was delivered to Shidongkou Power station.

On August 18, the first heavy gas turbine, made by SEC with 11 meters long, 5 meters high and more than 300 tons weight, was delivered to Shanghai Shidongkou Power Station. The combined and circulated power generation by gas turbines was a presently-stepped new-high technology in domestic market. Compared with the traditional one, it had been popularly used world wide with the advantages of effective power supply, low capital investment, short construction period, small land occupation, little water waste, stable peak adjustment and high environment protection.

In foretime, only five or six multinational companies controlled the manufacture technology of the combined and circulated power generation by heavy gas turbines, so most of gas turbines used in China were relied on import. By the end of last year, SEC obtained a project contract for manufacture 9 gas turbines.

To successfully fulfill the contract, SEC specially built a high-equipped manufacture base and an assembly workshop for F-grade and E-grade heavy gas turbine production. With only 10 months, the first F-grade heavy gas turbine had been finished under the cooperation between SEC and Siemens. Now, three gas turbines in the same grade would be installed in Shanghai Shidongkou Power Station.

The Vice-mayor Hu Yanzhao presented the delivery ceremony and cut the ribbon with the Board Director of SEC and Huang Dinan, the President of SEC.
