Shanghai Electric central institute promotes energy efficient technologies

In recent years, the central institute of Shanghai Electric has been aggressively promoted five energy efficient technologies through concentrating technology advantages. The first one is the energy efficient technology for pumps, wind turbines and compressors that is designed to improve the efficiency of single machines.

The wind turbines and motors provided by Shanghai Electric Machinery Co. Ltd for Wujin Phase Eight each can save 570,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity every year. The efficiency of air ventilators provided by Shanghai Blower Works for the 900,000-ton ethylene project in South China Sea has been enhanced by 30 per cent.

The second one is the energy efficient technology for permanent-magnet synchronous motors and drivers that can save power consumption by 10 per cent. The third one is the wireless industrial network technology that enables corporate energy monitoring. In addition, the last two ones are the energy efficient technology for central air-conditioning and LED lighting products.
