Ericsson joins in Chinese 3G developments with ZTE

Ericsson has teamed up with ZTE to deliver TD-SCDMA technology in China. The strategic alliance sees close technical cooperation between the two over the Chinese 3G standard. Under the partnership, Ericsson will integrate ZTE s TD-SCDMA Node B within it radio access network, including hardware and software, on an OEM basis. Both will also participate in the Chinese TD-SCDMA trials. Ericsson has also said it will establish a TD-SCDMA R&D centre in Nanjing.
