ZTE ships 20k CDMA base stations to India

NEW DELHI: Telecom equipment provider ZTE Corporation on Monday said it has shipped 55,000 sets of CDMA base station globally since 2001, including 20,000 to India.

It has shipped over 12,000 sets of CDMA base station in the first six months of this year, a growth of 240 per cent compared to same period last year, a ZTE statement said here.

"India alone accounts for over 20,000 sets of the shipment, allowing ZTE to capture the largest market share for CDMA base stations in the country," ZTE General Manager (CDMA Product) Zhu Jinyun said.

It has recorded significant business success in India this year by accumulating a total network subscriber capacity of 43 million lines in India.
