ACTIX AND ZTE ACCELERATE MOBILE BROADBAND DEPLOYMENT

Write: Cindylou [2011-05-20]

London and Shenzhen, 19th June 2007 - Actix, the recognized global leader for systems and solutions that enhance mobile network customer experience while reducing the total cost of ownership, has signed an agreement with ZTE, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, to deepen their cooperation in the field of Optimization Solutions of RF Networks. This will enable the provision of a broader and more flexible choice of software solutions combined with lower total cost of ownership for their common clients worldwide. In particular, with this cooperation, ZTE customers will now be able to use Actix Analyzer software together with ZTE's data collection tool ZXPOS CNT1 to enhance radio network quality, troubleshoot issues and optimize network performance to support the deployment of CDMA2000 1X/EV-DO network.

Actix Analyzer Professional offers ZTE a completely scalable solution compatible with legacy systems. With built-in process management capability, Actix Analyzer Professional improves wireless performance and enhances subscriber experience, enabling ZTE customers to offer a consistently high level of customer service to users.

"As voice revenues inevitably continue to drop, operators and service providers are increasingly turning to mobile broadband as a way of bolstering revenue. To succeed in this rapidly evolving environment, operators need to get to market quickly with a service whose quality is high enough to not only attract but also retain customers," said ZhuJinyun, General Manager of ZTE CDMA product. "ZTE needed to provide its customers with a mature and flexible solution as quickly as possible and having already worked with Actix on a global scale, we were confident that together we would be able to achieve this delivery."

"Mobile broadband is already in high demand amongst early adopters, and debate is becoming very heated about how best to drive its widespread adoption," said Ming Ma, Country Manager for China at Actix. "ZTE understands that compatibility with legacy systems to ensure ease of deployment combined with high quality user experience is what will really impact the uptake of mobile broadband."

Prior to working with Actix, ZTE used its own data collection system, ZXPOS CNT1. Going forward, this system will now be used in conjunction with Actix Analyzer Professional, further extending the arrangement made in January 2006 where Actix agreed to support ZTE's CDMA drive test tools for five years.

About Actix Analyzer

Actix Analyzer enables engineering teams to build in their own KPIs and processes for managing the quality of the radio network, troubleshooting radio link issues and optimizing radio link performance. With Actix Analyzer, expert engineers can configure predefined processes with the settings and thresholds used by their own teams, define new KPIs and reports which reflect the organization's priorities, and develop new analysis processes which capture the knowledge and best practices of technology specialists so these skills can be employed by every radio engineer.
