ZTE Wins Contract to Build AR Telecom's Network in Portugal

Sept. 13 (Bloomberg) - ZTE Corp., China's second-biggest maker of telephone equipment, said it won a contract to build a network in Portugal for AR Telecom, a unit of Grupo SGC.

The network will provide services for cities including Lisbon and Porto, Shenzhen, south China-based ZTE said today in an e- mailed statement, without giving financial details. AR Telecom provides fixed-line telephone, Internet and Internet-based TV services in Portugal, according to the statement.
