ZTE to build AR Telecom's backbone transmission network

Write: Upwood [2011-05-20]
ZTE has closed a deal with AR Telecom to build a backbone transmission network across Portugal, covering Lisbon, Porto and other well-developed cities in the country. Under the agreement, the backbone transmission network project will utilize ZTE's ZXMP M800 equipment, a high-capacity DWDM platform incorporating six types of network equipment protections in the industry, and MSTP equipment including ZXMP S330, S320 and S200 for hybrid networking. AR Telecom's subscriber base reached more than 30,000 at the beginning of 2007. To serve its TMAX access network, AR Telecom is building a DVB+DWDM network using ZTE's ZXMP transmission equipment.
