Yankee Group ranks ZTE second best in CDMA equipment competitiveness.

Tuesday, April 01, 2008: ZTE Corporation has been ranked second in terms of CDMA equipment competitiveness by the Yankee Group in a report entitled 'ZTE shines in CDMA Market'. The report was published by the research firm in February this year. According to the report, ZTE is the most competitive telecom vendor in China, India, emerging Asia Pacific market, Africa and Eastern Europe.

ZTE tallied the highest score in four out of seven categories the Yankee Group used to measure the CDMA competitiveness of each vendor. The seven key evaluation factors were price, technology, existing installed base, product portfolio, integration capability, government support and company culture.

"ZTE's increasing competitiveness is credited to its large installed base in China, India and emerging Asia Pacific, as well as its long-term commitment and investment in CDMA technology," stated XJ Wang, senior analyst, Yankee Group. "With its current momentum in the CDMA industry, this is the best timing for ZTE to further collaborate with well-established CDMA providers in North America."

"ZTE's responsiveness to customers' needs as well providing All-IP CDMA2000 solutions equipped with state-of-art technology and capability to lower TCO made it easier for carriers worldwide to partner with us for their CDMA network projects. In the past two years, we have delivered the highest number of base stations in the global CDMA arena," quipped Li Jian, general manager, CDMA products, ZTE. "We are very keen on capturing larger market share in key leading markets such as the US, Japan and Korea."
