According to a report from the China Academy of Telecommunication Research (China MII's CATR), ZTE Corp topped the global CDMA market in terms of the number of CDMA contracts signed in 2007. The report shows that ZTE had 43% of the CDMA infrastructure contracts signed in 2007, placing the company ahead of its competitors.

In 2007 alone, ZTE delivered more than 24,000 units of CDMA base stations worldwide, achieving an annual growth rate of more than 100% over 2006. To date, ZTE tallies up to 68,000 units of CDMA base station shipments, confirming its position as a Tier-1 provider worldwide.

Apart from signing key deals in the Asia-Pacific region and Africa, ZTE has also established partnerships with multinational telecom operators in markets in Europe, such as Norway, Portugal, and Poland, as well as in North America and Mexico.

As of the end of 2007, ZTE's CDMA products have been deployed by over 120 operators in more than 70 countries, with approximately 110 million users worldwide. It has also helped set up over 50 EV-DO networks globally. The company has deployed what it claims is the world's biggest All-IP CDMA2000 for Reliance Communications in India to further expand its coverage footprint. To date, the capacity of ZTE's CDMA Mobile Softswitch solutions has reached 60 million lines.
