Polkomtel picks ZTE for CDMA upgrade

ZTE is to upgrade the 450 megahertz CDMA network for Poland s Polkomtel operator

Polish mobile operator Polkomtel has selected ZTE to upgrade its CDMA network in the country. As the part of the agreement, ZTE will supply equipment for the network in the 450 megahertz band. The financial details of the contract have not been disclosed.
ZTE will also upgrade the existing infrastructure of country to improve coverage and enable data and push-to-talk services. ZTE will supply all equipment for the network including base stations and controllers, switching nodes, service platforms, and a GoTa digital trunking system.
