ZHENGZHOU, Aug 12, 2010 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Leading Chinese telecom equipment supplier ZTE Corp. (SZSE: 000063 and SEHK: 0763) will build an industrial park in Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province.

With an investment of about CNY 10 billion and a construction area of about two million square meters, the project is scheduled to be completed in six years. As another strategic move it takes after the announcement of building a CNY 10 billion production, R&D and training base in south China's Guangdong Province, the industrial park will focus on projects including 3G mobile telecom indoor coverage. Based on the province's geography and traffic advantages, it plans to build the park into its logistics distribution center in central China.

ZTE's production and R&D were mainly spread in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Xi'an, but in recent years it began expanding to all areas of the country, including building a CNY 5 billion industrial base in north China's port city of Tianjin. [August 12, 2010]
