Leading development and innovation of stainless steel technology in China, TISCO has always deemed the revitalization of national stainless steel as its own responsibility. On one hand, TISCO is establishing its own stainless steel product brands; on the other hand it also is speeding up the development of new products. Especially the application of products which represent by super duplex stainless steel in the petrochemical industry has improved corporation s popularity and influence. Stainless steel products with the brand of TISCO are entering into petrochemical field.
Petrochemical industry has always been an important industry with heavy demands of stainless steel products .A large amount of stainless steel products are used for the reaction tower, tank body, and pipes of many domestic well-known large petrochemical corporations.
TISCO made great effort in development according to specification, varieties and characteristics of petrochemical stainless steel. In the near future, many new products were successfully developed, including: super duplex stainless steel S32750 medium plate, super 13Cr martensitic stainless steel, super SUP13Cr-95 and SUP 13Cr-110 martensitic stainless steel tube billet, high-strength with thick thickness 316, 316L cold-rolled plate, big diameter stainless steel pipe, carbon steel clad plate etc. At present, these products were successfully applied in some more corrosive atmosphere such as petrochemical, oil refining, vacuum salt production system, fume de-sulphuration system and etc., which filled domestic gap and replaced expensive imported material.
As the adjustment of energy consumption structure strategy in our country, the key point is to develop LNG (liquefied natural gas) as main energy application. Currently, according to the requirements of facility construction for large LNG receiving, turnover and storage in the coastland of our country, TISCO has took the lead in developing 06Ni9 special steel, which is approved by National Standard Technology Committee of pressure vessel, and now TISCO is accelerating the research and development of products and increasing the mass production. Under the efforts of TISCO staff, the history that the steel used for LNG storage tank cannot be supplied in china will end soon.
