Recently a good news came from Chongqing, saying: ChongQing chemical tanker which is made of stainless steel, with capacity of 9000 tons, launched successfully. The success of the ship manufactured by East-Sichuan Shipyard indicates that it has made a new breakthrough with respect to construction of special ship. At the same time this success also shows new developments of TISCO duplex stainless steel technology level and new breakthrough of application in the field of chemical tanker.
Until now ChongQing tankeris the ship with the largest tonnage which is manufactured by China for the first time, contains imported high added value chemicals for the first time and adopted domestic stainless steel- TISCO 2205 duplex stainless steel in its internal liner of cargo tank for the first time. Its construction and technical requirements are very difficulty and high which is rarely seen in China and it reaches the world leading level.
