Recently, No.3 Steelmaking Plant of TISCO has successfully smelted 10Cr21Mn16NiN- a new stainless steel product with high contents of Mn and N, and explored the new process of smelting such high nitrogen stainless steel, which fills up the gap in the stainless steel smelting history and lays solid foundation for smelting high nitrogen stainless steel grades under normal pressure in the future.
Development of 10Cr21Mn16NiN, a new stainless steel product, is a Sub project under the National 973 plan aiming at developing stainless steel series which features nickel saving, high strength, non-magnetic austenite. The product with higher strength and non-magnetic performance can be applied to electronic and electrical components, elastic material, auto bracket, high strength bolts, wear resistant wire mesh, coastal bridge reinforcement and high strength equipment.
