Now, stainless steel pipe--threading die steel developed by TISCO has been successfully tested and rolled off from the production line. According to the inspection report, all the indices have reached the imported product s standard and completely met all usage requirements of stainless steel seamless pipe project. The successful research and development of this steel grade not only indicates TISCO die steel has entered into high accurate field and achieved imported products replacement, but also promoted the national course of the steel used in stainless steel seamless pipe project.
It is reported that this batch of stainless steel pipe-threading die steel made by TISCO will be first applied in stainless steel seamless pipe project which would be constructed into one stainless steel seamless pipe plant with the biggest worldwide unit production capacity and its products covering power station, boiler, petroleum, petrifaction, chemical industry, national defense, nuclear power generation and other fields and it is expected to substitute imported products in nationwide high accurate stainless steel seamless pipe market. The pipe-threading die steel used in above project requires pure steel quality, long service life and inspection to be performed compliance with Standards of North America Die Casting Association.
