CISDI s High Power Square Billet Successfully Commissioned

Angang Steel ball steel rolling line succeeded in thermal test and produced qualified ball steel on February 14, 2011. CISDI s subsidiary EFI participated in the R&D, design and manufacturing by itself of the 6000kW square billet induction heating equipment, the key equipment in this production line, which is the initial and successful application of the high power square billet on-line induction heating equipment domestically.
The square billet on-line induction heating equipment uses electricity to substitute gas to heat billet steel, which is advantageous in zero emission, low energy consumption, low burning loss and flexible heating control, etc. As a project supported by the special fund of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the 13115 Project of Shanxi Province, its successful commissioning not only posses special significance in promoting the technology development of induction heating domain and energy conservation and emission reduction, but also lays solid foundation for the application and dissemination of the induction heating technology in steel rolling process.
