On 8th December 2010, CCCC and the People's Government of Shantou City in Guangdong province conclude strategic cooperation frame agreement on estuary regulation and comprehensive development project of east Shantou economic zone.
The total static investment for the project amounted to approximately 15,140 million, including three areas named Xinjin, Xinxi, and Tagangwei, with reclamation area of 18km2.
