H1 Tourism Income Up 24.5% in Shandong

The tourism sector in East China's Shandong Province generated 127.7 billion yuan in the first half of this year, a growth of 24.5 percent on the same period last year, according to the provincial tourism industry authorities.

The province received 152 million domestic tourists in the six months, up 20 percent, and 1.55 million visitors from abroad, up 16 percent.

The province would invest 100 billion yuan in tourist projects this year.
