Recently, ICBC successfully launched "Online Insurance", a recommendation activity, in Beijing. Staffs from Bank-Insurance Department, e-Commerce Department of 3 insurance groups, 18 life insurance companies and 9 property insurance companies took part in this event.
Under the topical theme of "Create the best Value through e-Bank-Insurance", the Event aims to realize the full potential of e-channel to offer innovative services delivered through an in-depth platform built by coordination efforts of ICBC and insurance cohorts. During the launch seminar, ICBC representative made a thorough speech on the situation of Bank-Insurance market and denoted that Bank-Insurance service is undergoing an important changing phase.
Bank-Insurance services in China now concentrate in "Standardize, Development, Co-operation and Innovation". Launch of online insurance not only drives the innovation of channel between bank and insurance sectors for offering structural products, but also helps to satisfy the diversified needs of customers, or a treble-win situation for bank, insurance and customer.
Hence, ICBC will strengthen the cooperation with insurance companies to offer extensive insurance services online as a new growth of e-channel. Partners such as Taikang Life Insurance also introduced their online insurance services and shared their experiences during the event. Meanwhile, participants opened heated discussions on the overall plan and measures in developing online insurance services, as well as penetrating views on the cooperation.
Attendees positively expressed that this was the first seminar organized by domestic commercial bank for customers of insurance companies, which was significant in understanding ICBC's advantages in its Internet Banking and analyzing the critical point in working with ICBC e-commerce. All the attendees agreed that online insurance service was the trend for insurance so that vigorous efforts will be made to attain the new value from using the Internet as a new channel by cooperating with ICBC.
In bank-insurance, ICBC has been leading the market over the past a few years. "Online Insurance" will consolidate ICBC as the pioneer in offering new services and new channel of insurance and is to build a solid foundation for a diversified bank-insurance services in the new landscape.
